Vipul Singh, LEED AP, BEMP
Vipul has been working with The Green Engineer as a Building Performance Analyst since September 2011. She has an interdisciplinary knowledge base, with a background in architecture and a focus on sustainability in the built environment. Vipul's expertise lies in using modeling and analysis techniques for optimizing the energy efficiency of high-performance building envelopes, mechanical systems and daylighting. The range of simulations varies from whole building energy simulations to analysis for a single façade. Working as a BPA, Vipul has had the opportunity to assess over 100 buildings for their performance, energy use, and daylighting, etc.
Vipul has worked on a variety of university, multi-family, commercial, and institutional projects pursuing LEED Certification, ASHRAE 90.1 compliance, code compliance and utility Incentives. In addition to this, Vipul's responsibilities also include assisting in LEED Documentation, participating in project design charrettes, and performing simple life cycle cost analysis. Since 2020, Vipul has been leading the Building Performance Analysis division within our firm, together with BPA, Anthony Hardman.
Before joining our firm, Vipul pursued a Master of Science in Built Environment at Arizona State University. While at ASU, she worked as a research assistant on an ASHRAE funded research project aimed at developing protocols for short-term M&V of whole building energy performance. Vipul received her Bachelor of Architecture from Sushant School of Art and Architecture, India. During her four years of professional experience as an architect in India, she worked on institutional projects of varied scales with a strong focus on sustainable design principles. Vipul is a certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP).
