Anthony Hardman, LEED AP
Anthony joined The Green Engineer as a Building Performance Analyst (BPA) in the fall of 2010. Upon fulfilling his military service commitment in 2007, he transitioned to the consulting industry and expanded his engineering experience to include HVAC design, building commissioning, energy auditing, energy simulation, teaching, feasibility studies and more.
As a BPA, Anthony has had the opportunity to assess building energy performance on over 100 building projects using a variety of simulation tools including eQUEST, Trace700, OpenStudio, Design Builder (Energy Plus), WUFI and others. These assessments have supported (MEPA) greenhouse gas analyses, LEED / CHPS certification, energy code compliance, feasibility studies and utility incentive programs. Anthony's direct simulation experience includes over 17,500,000 square feet of the built environment.
Geographically, Anthony's experience extends across the US and beyond, including Asia, Europe and Central America. Project expertise includes schools, offices, hi-rise residential, laboratories, universities, hospitals, casinos and more. Since 2020, Anthony has been leading the Building Performance Analysis division within our firm, together with BPA, Vipul Singh.
Anthony Hardman possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado with the LEED AP BD+C credential. He has also served on two ASHRAE Technical Committees (TC 7.06 - Building Energy Performance & TC 6.08 - Geothermal Heat Pump and Energy Recovery Applications); has presented at the ASHRAE conference; and has guest lectured at Northeastern University. Anthony has several ASHRAE publications to his credit.
