In November 2024, lawmakers passed transformative climatetech provisions in the Mass Leads Act, positioning our Commonwealth to be the best place to start, staff, and scale climatetech companies. Now, we must support the programs that will advance our leadership in this burgeoning industry.
Massachusetts is on-track to become a global hub for climatetech innovation – but we need to invest in the workforce and business development that will serve as the backbone of this leadership. Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's programs play a key role in training our equitable clean energy workforce, as well as fostering technical innovation.
Our lawmakers must fully fund MassCEC to ensure our swift and equitable transition to a green economy. The Green Engineer is proud to be one of the fifty-four institutions urging the Massachusetts Legislature to allocate $30M to MassCEC in the FY26 budget, securing economic and public health benefits for our communities.
